Hi, I’m Hannah!
I am an Academic Track Fellow at Newcastle University, working on climate resilient net-zero energy systems.
Before working at Newcastle I spend 18 months working for the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment thinking about compound wind and flood risks. I have also spent eight years at the University of Reading studying the impacts of climate variability and climate change on national-level power systems including Europe, Mexico, and multiple regions of Africa. A key outcome of my work has been to improve the accessibility of large meteorological datasets to non-specialists within the energy, insurance, and financial sectors. I am also a member of the 'next generation challenges in energy and climate modelling' group, which organises events to promote collaboration in the energy-meteorology communities. I am passionate about science communication and have been involved in multiple international events to engage schools and the general public in climate science.
